“Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring our adult children before the Throne of Grace. First of all, we ask you to forgive us for the times we have prayed for them with selfish motives, and hindered your answers to prayer. Forgive us for our self-righteous attitude. It wasn’t too long ago that we were mired in that old stagnant life of sin ... but you embraced us with immense mercy and with your incredible love.
O, LORD, remember Your covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. According to Your covenant Your Spirit is upon us, and Your words, which You have put in our mouth, shall not depart from our mouth, or the mouth of our descendants nor from the mouth of our descendants’ descendants from this time forth and forevermore.
We put on Your full armor and having done all to stand, we stand on behalf of our families. Fearlessly we enforce the triumphant victory of our Lord Jesus Christ against Satan and his destructive strategies. We are here to build up the wall and stand in the gap before You, Father, asking for Your mercy to triumph over judgment.
Lord you are great and awesome, and we fight for our sons, our daughters, our spouses and our houses. On the authority of Your promise we declare that You will contend with him who contends with us, and You will give safety to our children, save them and ease them day by day ... You are our LORD, our Savior, our Redeemer, and the Mighty One of Jacob.
We proclaim our children as a heritage and a reward from You. We ask You, Father, draw them to repentance with Your goodness, and give them as an inheritance in the Lord Jesus Christ. He shed his blood for them that they might be saved, and Your arm is not shortened that You cannot save. Holy Spirit, we ask You to convince and convict them of sin, righteousness and judgment. May our sons and daughters repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and they will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. According to Your promise we are asking You to pour Your Spirit and Your blessings on our children. Our sons and daughters shall prophesy; our young men shall see visions. Create in them a love for Your Word. Lord, thank you for choosing our children before the foundation of the world and calling them in their youth. Our children are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. They are Your own special people. Father, confirm Your word and hallow Your name in the lives of our children for Your glory and honor. In Jesus Name, Amen”

Dear Abba Father,
Hear my prayer. Let me walk through this day, where I am tempted to fear, by trusting in YOU. Be my strength. Thank you for loving me enough to know me ... really know me ... and provide a way to peace and confidence when I am surrounded by the terror of my own thoughts. Thank you that I can find refuge in the shelter of your faithfulness. Thank you that I can find your strength each time I am weak. May others see my weakness and see your strength ... for then, I will surely "boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me" YOUR grace is sufficient for me! (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Holy Father, we know that we are not fighting flesh and blood. The Lord Jesus Christ has all spiritual authority in this battle for the spirit, soul, and body of _______. The issue is who will rule them: the Lord Jesus Christ or the king of lawlessness. The adversary is prowling around seeking to devour them, but we pray that they will be self-controlled, alert, resisting him, standing firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).
From my position as priest in _______'s life, because I have authority in Jesus' name and blood, I command the enemy assignments against them to cease. I rebuke passivity, blindness, rebellion, and evil influence that would cause them to fall into errors of judgment, wrong choices, or outright sin. I take all curses and vows in force against them and our family and nail them to the cross of Jesus Christ (Col. 2:13-15, Gal 3:13-14). In Jesus' name and authority, I stand against the works and workers of iniquity (Ps. 91:13, Luke 10:19). I stand against ancestral, generational, and familiar empowerments. I plead Your covering of grace and mercy over all their present and past involvement in sin, iniquity, and rebellion that could give the evil one legal ground to affect or control. I pray for holy conviction of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, I renounce and break the power of false loyalties and sever soul-ties with anybody who is not sold out to the true and living God. I ask the blood of the Beloved Son of God to judicially deal with and destroy the works of the evil one, thereby closing the doors to demonic harassment.
Heavenly Father, Jesus in us is greater, and we pray for our Captain of the Lord's host to expose the schemes of wickedness and defeat its tactics. Protect _______ with a heavenly guard of angels. Dispatch warring angels to fight this battle under the command of our Lord Jesus, the Ancient of Days and Captain of the Lord's hosts.
From my position as priest in ______'s life, I bless ______ in Jesus' name. I pray that they will hunger and thirst for righteousness. Strengthen them in the Lord and cause them to order their life under the Lordship of Jesus. Establish them in godly wisdom and the fear of the Lord. Train them in the discipline of the Lord that will yield holiness and the fruit of righteousness. I ask for your favor to rest on them.
God, You commanded light to shine out of darkness. Please shine in ________'s heart to reveal Your glory in victory in their life. In Jesus' name, amen.
Because God is good, he is merciful and forgiving. He is the good Father who welcomes a prodigal with a hug, a feast, and a party with music and dancing. Because he is good, he wants good things for your beloved rebel, and he is giving and generous and wants to bless him or her. God cannot change, his goodness is constant, never wavering or failing (James 1:17). When you minister in his goodness, you minister something of his love. Thank your loving Father for his heart to call the heart of your rebel back to him.

I cannot love my prodigal with an everlasting love like Jesus who is perfect, but I love my prodigal from the depths of my heart, Jesus come in and restore what our sins have broke. Be the healing balm for our hearts, the road straightener for our crooked ways we have made, and lastly may your stripes that you received be the force that heals our fractured relationship. And Lord, help me to wait for you to do your will in the life of my prodigal, take my hands from that which belongs to you. Amen

As I turn to you, Lord, my heart is troubled. You know the journey that brought my children to where they are today. I am so sorry for whatever my husband or I might have done wrong, Lord. Our children don't seem to practice the faith we tried to hand on to them. Their values are so different from ours. It breaks my heart to see them passing those same values on to their children, my grandchildren.
Oh, Lord, I place them in your hands. I surrender the judgments and anger that can fill me. I know that, at times, in my frustration and desire to help them, I have pushed them farther away. Give me the graces I need to change my heart. Fill me with your mercy and forgiveness for my sins so that I might grow in the ability to forgive and embrace my kids with compassionate love. Let me be a healer of wounds, rather than a wounder. Let me build bridges of understanding. I know that is the only way I will be able, with your grace, to heal our relationship.
Father of Love, help my kids grow in gratitude to you. Help them to find you in their busy lives. Help me to affirm them and support them with love, that they might recognize authentic faith and love, and turn to you in their time of need.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you.
