Thank you for spending a moment or two exploring our website, a site that is dedicated to anyone who loves a prodigal. The journey of loving a prodigal can be painful and isolating. I know this first hand for I have been loving a prodigal home for more than a decade.
I have made many mistakes. I have wrestled with God as I resisted surrendering my prodigal’s journey to God alone. I have chased my prodigal on his journey and in the process have inadvertently created collateral damage. Partners in Prayer For Our Prodigals was established to share the lessons that I have learned as I stopped chasing my prodigal and finally, once and for all, surrendered the outcome of his journey to God—our Father—the One who understands for He’s got a whole world of prodigals!
The Parable of the Lost Son in Luke 15 is the foundation of this outreach. Known by many, this parable is truly the instruction manual for every person who knows the heartache of waiting for their prodigal to return home. And yet, like many people, whenever I read this parable, I focused on the Prodigal’s journey and failed to even notice the father’s journey. At Partners In Prayer for Our Prodigals, we will focus on the father’s journey as he expectantly awaited the return of his beloved son.
The Prodigal Hope Network seeks to offer tangible support to strengthen the respite we so desperately need as we learn to love our prodigals in effective ways.
Ways you can stay in touch with us:
It is time, long over due time that we step out of the pain and the isolation of our journey and gather together and pray our prodigals home! You are not alone—please join the growing community of Partners In Prayer For Our Prodigals as we stand together on behalf of all of our prodigals … and prepare for the banquet ... what a banquet it will be!
~ Diane Viere, Mother of a prodigal, Christian Counselor, and Founder/Author of Partners In Prayer For Our Prodigals and The Prodigal Hope Network.
Prodigals are not limited to one’s children or drug use; whether child or adult, spouse, relative, or friend, anyone who walks away from God is lost and in need of prayer! Many of us love a prodigal who is addicted to drugs and/or alcohol; for others it may be a wayward spouse, sibling, parent or best friend. Adultery, addiction, distorted entitlement beliefs—extravagant reckless living.
